How It Works

Doctors Australia Psychology works just like a face-to-face psychology consultation, however, the appointment takes place over video link or by phone if preferred. All of our consultations are privately billed, or discounted at the practitioners discretion.

More Affordable Consultations (Medicare Rebate)

1 - GP Visit

Patient sees their GP and, if determined by GP, receives a mental healthcare plan (MHCP).

2 - Referral

Patient's GP sends a referral (email or fax) to Doctors Australia Psychology

3 - Schedule

Doctors Australia Psychology contacts the patient to organise an appointment

4 - Consultation

Patient is emailed a consultation link with their matched health professional

For patients

Our privately-billed consultations are available to anyone wanting non-emergency mental health services.

To arrange a consultation, you will require the following:

A referral from your GP (if wanting to receive a Medicare rebate)
Access to a tablet/smart phone/computer (with webcam) and reliable Internet connection. If you prefer a phone consultation, a phone will suffice.
A credit/debit card for payment, and Medicare number if receiving a Medicare rebate.
